Final Firework

Last Wednesday, July 28, I couldn't go out with my friend Yiba for watching the firework since I didn't have enough money to pay the fare.

Last night, July 31, I asked my brother for allowance and then he said, "Its 1A.M. already. The banks are closed." He said he will go to bank to withdraw money for me before going to work.

In the morning, I woke up; I thought he must forget to give me allowance so I asked my mom to give it to me.

Going to Elizabeth Park at noon was cancelled because a friend of Lea's cousin was very tired from work.

Around 6:30P.M., we left for English Bay to watch Chinese firework. When we arrived there, we looked for a spot. It was so hard to find! The beach was full of people! Luckily, some people let us to sit on the spot in back of them. After a few minutes, the lightning came! The rain was coming! AAAH!!! However, we got a bit wet. :) The rain was gone after 15-30 minutes.

Unfortunately, the spot was changed. We only sat on the stair. It was too bad! I hated to set my tripod on the stair because of the crowd. :(

Anyway, I'm improving to take pictures of the fireworks. These current pictures are better than before. :)

A Novice As A Farmer

Was it my first time? No, I have been going to Laoag City, Ilocos Norte in the Philippines for almost 20 years. There are a lot of farms. :)

By the way, Lea asked me if I joined her parents for picking blueberries. Then I said Yes! Her parents and her cousin Tess considered about me. They told me that it was very hot weather. I told them, "It's okay. I love it!"

Next early morning, I woke up at 5A.M., but Lea's parents were still sleepy. After 20 minutes, they got up and packed the bags for us. At 6A.M., a bus from Johavol Berries came and we rode in it. Richmond is very far from Lea's house.

I was surprised that friends of Lea's parents joined us.

Finally, we arrived the Johavol Berries which an Indian man owns the farm. It was my first time to see blueberry plants in my life because I thought they were like grape vines, yet they were not!

The weather was chilly. Lea's parents taught me how to harvest blueberries. It was interesting to learn. Harvesting green or red blueberries is prohibited they told me. And then I was ready to work on it~!!!

I carried the pail holding in front of my belly. I harvested and harvested a lot!!! I thought I worked so fast. I had two big pails of berries, but surprisingly, my friends got 3 or 5 pails. What the hell?!? Oh, I worked so slowly! For second time, I got 2 pails and for the last time, I got 3 pails!

After 10 hours, I felt bored of picking berries, so I got the small pail of blueberries for my family. Lea's parents let me take some rest.

Two people, sitting on the pail, are Lea's parents. :)

It is me! Wearing the cap and handkerchief protected me from the sunlight.

After 1 and 1/2 hours passed by, we finally went home at 7P.M.! I was so exhausted! Lea's father asked her for me. She interpreted me what he asked. He asked me if I came to pick again. I shook my head and said NOOOO! He laughed. He told me to give him my card that was how many weights I picked blueberries. It was 119. I am not sure which lbs or kg it was. And then I got paid. :)

A few hours, all my body was in so much pain, especially my hands, so I took medicine.

Explosive Firework!

The Celebration of Light is an event which the fireworks are designed by four different countries.

Last year, I went English Bay to watch wonderful fireworks with my friend Lea, her siblings, and her cousin four times. There were so many people like 50,000 ants! ha ha ha!

This year, for the first firework, I couldn't make it since I was so lazy or couldn't afford to pay the fare, anyway.

Now, finally! We came Granville Island with friends of Lea's cousins. We watched Spanish firework. After it was over, it was so crowd to go home by trains.

Here are the pictures I took using Lea's DSLR.

An Injured Pigeon

This morning, my father was outside of our house, opening the window while I was using my laptop to chat with my friend, Jami. I thought he just gave me some envelopes, but shockingly, he held a pigeon to show through the window. I suddenly stood up near the door and was scared of it as I thought it might bite my fingers if i touched it. He said, "No, it doesn't." Then, I tried to get it from his hand.
Jami took these pictures of my webcam. She said I was funny because I was scared of it and my face looked so frightened!

I was so stuck! We did not have any cages! It took me about 10 minutes to walk around and to look for a box or a basket. Jami told me to get a laundry basket, however; mine is not good for keeping the bird. It is too loose. Finally, I saw another sturdy white basket. I brought it to my room while holding the bird with my right hand. I took all the clothes out of the basket and put it upside down on the floor. I threw the bird into the basket successfully!!!

Here I was feeding the bird. At first, it refused to eat cooked rice. Then, I tried to put raw rice, but the bird still refused. I wondered if it was afraid of me. I added a small amount of bread. The pigeon refused. My father told me to put a small piece of cooked rice in the bird's beak. I did three times. After a few minutes, the bird went back to eat raw rice I was glad. I put a small plate of rice and a small bowl of clean water. WOW! The bird did not stop eating a lot of rice! Oh I know it's harder to look for food outside than people easily buy food in the stores, right? Anyway, my father said the bird cannot fly well.

When I gave the bird to my brother, Kuya Venice. He checked it up. He said it is sick. I was surprised he said it is female. I said him how. He showed me: he pulled the beak with his fingers. If the head doesn't move toughly, it means it is a female. How interesting! He has a lot of experiences!

I put the bird, rice, and water inside the other basket in the garage room. It is night already.

I am looking forward to seeing if the bird will like me after a few days or so. :D

Rare Movie!

Do not read if you have not watched this movie! :P

I thought that "Remember Me" movie is just romantic because I know Twilight makes Robert Pattinson very famous since people have fans of him! I am not interested in that movie, but it's really amazing. I love to watch horror, adventurous and humorous movies more than romanctic movies, yet sometimes I feel I want to watch some romantic movies. :) Anyway, Robert is a role as Tyler in "Remember Me".

I began to watch "Remember Me". Wow! It is a rarely romantic movie I have ever watched. In the beginning of the movie, a mother was murdered and her daughter was there with her; I felt sorry for them. I was very surprised that in the end, it is a totally unexpected, heart rendering, emotional roller coaster ride of a movie. I was weeping!

When a teacher walked beside a blackboard, it showed a date (I can't tell when if you haven't watched it yet. :P ). It was going to happen after Tyler was in his father's office, waiting for him to come. Umm, I can't tell all the story. hehe!

Hope you will watch the movie immediately! YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT!!!!!!! hehe

Philippine Flag Key

My boredom killed me! Anyway, I was trying to create a new key chain. It is the Philippine flag key.

I just tested on printing blue, red, and yellow inks on the white rectangular form. It was still wet so I put a tissue to absorb the wetness of inks from the form. It was a bit moist. I dried it using a hair dryer. However, I wonder if it's not waterproof. Keeping it is for my keepsake! :P

Another thing, I prepared yellow, red, and blue felts. I thought of what steps I could sew the Philippine flag key. Awfully, I was so busy between sewing it and cleaning the house! Aargh!

Finally, it is complete! It looks a kind of ugly and neat. ha ha ha! But... if you see it very far, it would be cute and awesome!!!!

I am wondering if I can sell when I make some. Yes or No? What do you think? D-:

Cold Beach

“There are countless footprints on the sand; you don't know where I stepped.”

The beach was cold, wasn't it? No, it was not, yet the wind was a kind of chilly and the sea was so cold!

At noon, Lea's relatives prepared stuffs for going to Jericho Beach with me. Lea and I went outside of her house while waiting for them to be ready. I took DSLR camera and taught her how to take perfect pictures.

We arrived the beach around 1:30 PM! The wind was chilly, but it was the wonderful weather!

OOOHHH!!!! Here is the Filipino BQQ!!!! YUMMY!!! I love to eat it so much since I was a kid. :D

My portrait is good. Lea took this picture. :)

Scrabble is Lea's favorite game. As for me, I do not like it. I loved it when I was a kid but now I don't. Lea wanted to play with me and others so I was patient. It was fun to learn new words.
Sylvia won! She got about 130 points.

Tess hugged me. Why did I put "X" on my face? I am not a macho person! I am so lazy to exercise, yet I love to walk or run! :P

Brrrrrr! The sea was so COLD! I was getting tan! Yipeee!!! I hate stones on the sand as my feet got painful! OUCH!

Yikeeees! Do you think that I am idiot or nerdy without eyeglasses? :P

Oh Domo! Welcome to the Jericho Beach! He can't be able to swim. If he touches the water, he will absorb it! Like Spongebob doesn't want to touch the water. ha ha ha!

I ate ice cream. It tasted like Milo! Hmmmm! I miss Milo!

We played a game like dodge ball. It was my first time! It was so fun!

What a perfect photo! I struggled myself not to see the screen in the camera because of the bright sun! However, this picture in Lea's laptop is awesome! I did not know that! :D

OUCH! This picture is bad and blurred. I told Lea to take it. It was too late since the sun almost went down.

Finally, we left for Lea's house around 7:00 PM. After we arrived home, we were weary! :D

I don't like the sand at the Jericho Beach sincee it is like dusts. I really miss the beaches in the Philippines because of the white sand and sparkle blue seas!

A Hidden Park

A few months ago, I walked around and explored places as I was bored. When I noticed there are a lot of trees, I tried to pass there. I was a bit scared because the beautiful houses on the street looked quiet and there were no people. After that, I went home and checked the internet about that place. It is named Robert Burnaby Park.

Now, I asked my friend, Lea if she came our house. She came here and then we walked the 9 or 10 blocks from our house to there.

Here are the photos I took. Love the shines!

I enjoyed in the forest, however; the inserts annoyed me!

We didn't finish to explore somewhere in the park because the night came. Next time, we will take more pictures if we have spare time.

Walking in the cave or city

Nikko came back to Vancouver and he just stayed for only three days before going to California.
By the way, Mika, Yiba, Lea and I hang out with him. My baby named Domo kun was with me.

We rode in the Canada Line train to go to Olympics Village.
Domo was in the pocket with my jacket since he didn't want to get lost. Look at Mika. She was so cute!

I carried Domo up! CHEER UP!!!

They walked while talking through using sign language. Domo just watched them.
We discussed about where we could go to Granville Island. I haven't visited there before, but I only noticed there while driving. We decided to walk there. Yiba didn't want to but she had to be patient. It was easy for us to chat continuously without thinking about a long walk.

We stay enjoyable and happy in our lives and this picture! We're definitely Filipino! However, Mika was not included. It was too bad!

Domo felt comfortable to stand on the grass! Yipeeee! He watched us to swing at the playground.

What an amzing photo! We have to stop you to do: STOP STARING AT US! :P

We made it! We needed to take some rest. Domo saw that place for the time. I visited there for the first time, too.

Yiba bought Vietnamese rolls since she got very hungry. That's why she took a long walk.
Domo was tempted by that food!!!

I just hugged him as he is my baby! ha ha ha!

Yiba asked us if we could ride in the vessel to go to Yaletown. We agreed with her. We rode in it.
Domo was very scared of the water. He sat in the rescue ring for safe!

I encouraged Domo to see the sea. For the first time, he was speechless to see how beautiful it was!
We arrived Yaletown and then we went home finally!

Domo's current life is better than old life which he never went somewhere.
Do you think that it is fun to see Domo in these pictures? :P
